How we handle personal data
Who we are
WESTEX TEXTILE ORGANIZATION LTD (“WESTEX”, “we”) is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 14861718, registered office Suite 23020, 8 Shepherd Market, Mayfair, London W1J 7JY. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For any question about it, write to [email protected].
What we collect
When you email or call us, we receive your name, your email address or telephone number and whatever you tell us, such as your company, your role and the details of your enquiry.
When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site against misuse.
The website has no contact form, no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising. It sets no cookies of its own.
If you switch the language (EN / DE), your browser stores that choice on your device so that the home page opens in it next time. The choice is not sent to us.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to prepare and carry out a production project. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and the performance of that contract.
- To run our business correspondence and keep records of it. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example on business records. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that host our website and our email, who process it on our behalf, and with authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with the enquiry and any business relationship that follows, and after that only as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, and ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to stop using it. Email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above.
